NDIS CLIENTS
I have 15 years experience sitting with all kinds of people with every kind of challenge. I have an intellectually disable son of my own and understand only too well how difficult life can be and how patience and careful listening can often unlock new understandings that lead to better outcomes.

I see clients in person on the central coast and online.
Accessing Counselling through NDIS
Due to recent changes in NDIS funding counselling is now cheaper than most other professional supports: $156.16 per hour. This compares to $222.99 to see a psychologist. The difference is that psychologists are trained to diagnose mental illness, psychotherapists are trained to sit in a room with a client and help them untangle their challenges and emotional states.
You usually will not need a referral to see me. Funds commonly come from the Improved Daily Living budget.
The NDIS can fund supports that help with:
-
participating in community and social activities
-
building greater independence
-
gaining access to new skills or jobs, or volunteering in your community
-
socialising, social skills and relationships
-
improving your quality of life.

If you are struggling in any of these areas please talk to your Plan Manager or Local Area Support Coordinator about the possibility of counselling.
